CypressView strives each day to make safety a habit and a way of life whether we are on the job, at home or at play.
To this end we are working on our certification with ISNetworld.
As a healthy environment is the essence of life on our planet, CypressView practices energy conservation on a regular basis. We are not satisfied with reducing our consumption of energy but are actively involved in removing C02 from the air by planting and maintaining thousands of trees (Colorado spruce, Scots pine, poplar, Green ash, elm, and Manitoba maple) on farmland we own. The plantings are on the same land from which Talisman Energy Inc. and Crescent Point Energy Corporation of Calgary Alberta successfully produce hydrocarbons from. We continue to plant 500 - 1000 trees annually at CypressView. We are proud of the strong environmental record of CypressView
We believe our license to operate and grow our company comes from the community we work and operate in. Our commitment to social corporate responsibility includes scholarship programs at the University of Regina, in Regina Saskatchewan, at the Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta and at Shaunavon High School in Shaunavon Saskatchewan.
CypressView is also committed to restoring and re-populating existing farmyards in the rural areas we work in. To date we have re-populated five previously abandoned farm yards and have restored numerous original farm buildings, using as much recycled lumber and hardware as possible. We estimate more than 40 people now live in these farm yards that had been vacant before we started this program. Our plan includes subdividing yards, restoring buildings, gardens and trees and selling these yards at reasonable price to families looking for homes.
In one of our yards Rock Solid Refuge has established a treatment center. This center works with teens who are struggling with life issues. Solid Refuge is a program which helps teens tempted by, or struggling with addictive behavior and need tools and support to make healthy decisions.
A career with CypressView is an opportunity to work in one of Canada'’s most exciting economic development areas.
The Cypress Hills/Shaunavon area in South West Saskatchewan near the Montana, USA/Alberta border is one of the fastest economic growth areas in Canada.
This economic growth is best represented by the development of the Lower Shaunavon oil, which uses the most modern technologies to extract oil, the construction of the Vantage Pipeline carrying ethane gas from a source near Tioga, North Dakota, U.S.A., extending northwest, through Saskatchewan, and CypressView, and terminating near Empress, Alberta, Canada, the construction of the 13 billion dollar Keystone bullet pipeline extending through South West Saskatchewan, near Shaunavon that will take crude oil non-stop from Canada to market hubs in the U.S. Midwest and the astounding growth of Western Canadian agriculture and rapid increase in agricultural land prices. According to Farm Credit Corporation (FCC) land prices in Saskatchewan have increased by 15% in the past 12 months. This set of unique economic circumstances and CypressView’'s strategic position presents an exciting opportunity for employees working for CypressView.
CypressView is looking for self motivated women and men who would like to be involved in this exciting opportunity. CypressView offers good salaries, security and benefits.
CypressView needs employees who have experience operating (heavy) equipment, have a current Sask/Alberta driver’s license and have successfully completed safety, environmental and H2S courses.
